Logging in for the first time

Before you can access any of the M365 features you will need to login.


Before you begin you will need:

Your methodist.org.uk email address (Username) and the temporary password supplied to you.


This video will guide you through changing the password and setting up MFA (multi factor authentication) for the first time.




Log in and set up Multifactor Authentication

 

  1. Start by opening a web browser like Edge or Google Chrome
  2. Go to www.office.com and sign in
  3. Sign in with your methodist.org.uk email address and click Next
  4. Enter the temporary password you were supplied and click Next to change it.
  5. Now enter the same password again and type a new one of your choosing and click Sign In

 

Configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  1. One the window that says “More Information is Required” click on Next.
  2. Follow the instructions to set up recommended route.

Download the authenticator app on your phone if you need it then

  1. Click Next and follow the instructions to set up the authenticator app.

 

Congratulations you are securely signed in.
