What is MFA (Multi-factor authentication)

Created by Chris McKinley, Modified on Thu, 26 Sep at 4:07 PM by Chris McKinley

Multifactor authentication (MFA) adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process. When accessing accounts or apps, users provide additional identity verification, such as scanning a fingerprint or entering a code received by phone.

During the initial sign-in you'll be asked to configure MFA. We recommend you use the Microsoft Authenticator for either iOS or Android

How often do I need to use MFA?

There is a ‘Remember Me’ option and thus, MFA would only need to be used every 7-14 days.  Although we appreciate, this can be perceived a hassle, this extra step is what helps make the email more secure and safe from hackers.
